Wooden workbench and tools

TL 005 (2)Always a firm favourite, this solid wooden workbench comes complete with a great selection of sturdy tools and pieces of wood for hours of imaginative play. Built to last from solid rubberwood, the bench is just the right height for little ones to stand at whilst they hammer, twist, turn, saw and join together the pieces of chunky wood with the wooden tools, nuts and bolts. The worktop of the bench has holes for hammering in the wooden nails or attaching nuts and bolts through. It has a shelf underneath for storing all the bits and pieces, special slots around the edge to store all the tools, and even a little wooden vice for holding pieces of wood in place. The solid wooden tools are strong and sturdy. There is a hammer, a screwdriver, a spanner, a right angled measure, and a saw. The set comes complete with a generous amount of wooden nuts, bolts, nails and pieces of wood.

Construction toys are great for hand-eye co-ordination, encouraging discovery, logical thinking and developing problem solving skills.

Children love to copy what they see grown-ups doing, so if they’ve ever watched you doing some DIY, or seen builders at work, then they’ll have great fun pretending to be a little carpenter or the next Bob the Builder or Wendy.

The workbench is suitable from ages 2 years and upwards, but we have a display one out in the shop and notice that children aged 3, 4 and 5 are all still fascinated by it, as it can be played with in so many different ways.

Made by quality toy-maker Pintoy, from sustainable rubberwood and safe non-toxic paints.
